Tribal Dakini - Dancer Twirling Cape with Mandalas of Many Worlds

Dakinis are "sky-dancers" who act as spiritual guides and also reveal hidden teachings in the Vajrayana Buddhist tradition. Here the dakini twirls a cape and each image printed on a cape represents an inner world the meditator may enter.

The cape is the entire universe, and the different mandalas and beings represent destinations that may be visited by the meditator. The cape appears full but is really empty. The dakini opens the pathway to the spiritual worlds. Her golden veil shows that she is benevolent and peaceful.
