3-Dimensional Mandala - Repeating Four-way Patterns Can Appear as a "Tunnel" to the Meditator

The meditator can stare at the flat image until it takes on a 3-dimensional quality. The "mandala tunnel" then draws the meditator inwards.
Certain aspects of the mind can appear to draw the individual's awareness both inward and outward. In this image, there are layers of symmetry and layers of awareness. The layers will open to welcome the experienced meditator, and close to expel the unworthy. The diamond shapes serves to draw the meditator inward while to squares expand and move the awareness outwards.
